2018 Patachou Foundation Speakers Forum ft. Chef Ann Cooper & Julia Turshen

The Patachou Foundation Speakers Forum, our signature fundraising event, will be on April 12, 2018 at 6:30pm. Building on the success of last year’s event, we are proud to feature Chef Ann Cooper. Join us to hear her speak. Click here for tickets. Early Bird Tickets on sale through 3/16!

Chef Ann, also known as the Renegade Lunch Lady, is an outspoken voice of reform advocating for whole, fresh ingredients in school meals and has spoken as a woman in food for decades. After working in restaurants for over 20 years, she has transformed school lunchrooms across the nation.

After Chef Ann’s presentation, Julia Turshen, a nationally acclaimed food writer and activist, will moderate a discussion focused on the intersection of food and social justice with Chef Ann.

Chef Ann is the author of three best-selling books and a frequent TED Talk presenter. She has been recognized as a W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s Food & Society Policy Fellow and previously served as President of Women Chefs and Restaurateurs, an industry group that leverages the voices of talented women. Chef Ann worked alongside First Lady Michelle Obama and helped to create the White House Garden. To learn more about Chef Ann’s story, visit http://chefannfoundation.org.

Julia Turshen’s latest book, Feed the Resistance is part cookbook, part activist guide. She has been featured by The New York Times and NPR and she hosted the first two seasons of Radio Cherry Bombe.
